Your first book!

Your book should include :

    

1. a nice cover
2. an acknowledgement
3. an index
4. the text itself with pictures
5. sources

• The story should be based on your own autobiography.
• The book should include different text types (narrative, descriptive),  fictional & non-fictional genres.
• Pictures should be part of the text. 
• Pieces of art (real or ficticious) should be part of the plot. (see Detective A. Pintura for examples/inspiration)
• You can include descriptions of these pictures (go back to your own descriptions of pieces of art and the tips discussed in class)
• Include specific vocabulary from your own art encyclopaedias.
• Generate a specific  atmosphere (go back to "Gothic Literature" lessons).
• Include appropriate tenses, adjectives, nouns in your narration (see notes from Narratives seen in class)

ART TIPS: 

1. create an ANDY WARHOL with your self portrait. Go to PHOTOVISI templates.
2. Go to PSYKOPAINT AND PAINT YOUR OWN photos like Picasso, Seurat, Manet, among many others!
3. I will go on adding more resources.
4. FEEL FREE TO SHARE YOUR OWN WITH THE GROUP!!

EXPLORE THE DIFFERENT TOOLS. CHOOSE THE ONE YOU FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE WITH OR THE ONE THAT ALLOWS YOU TO EXPRESS YOURSELF BETTER.

You are to write YOUR OWN BOOK.

 I've taken these samples at random. Choose the tool you like the most and get ready for the last written assignment.

 SAMPLE #1: 

TOOL: bookr. It creates books with turning pages. Yo have to include pictures from FLICKR (you could upload your own pics and then download them)

TOOL: MIXBOOK. It creates book with turning pages. Upload images from your computer or from web.
EXAMPLE: How has Life for Women changed from the 19920's to the 50's to now?

TOOL: CALAMÉO. I t creates books or magazines with turning pages. Books can be downloaded, turned into pdf. documents, sent via e-mail, embeded, etc

EXAMPLE: LE FRANCE NOIRE (a beautiful photograph book of the Black community in France).

SAMPLE #4:

TOOL: ISSUU. It also creates books with pictures. This is my favourite! Though they are all USER FRIENDLY, I GUESS THIS ONE IS REALLY VERSATILE.
